Greetings from the Central Texas Area Alliance of Black School Educators!

On behalf of the members of this highly esteemed affiliate of the Texas Alliance of Black School Educators, we stand united to ensure equity and excellence in the education of ALL children while focusing on those of African descent.  State data on students' academic progress reveals achievement gaps among students of various races and socioeconomic statuses.  CENTEX-AABSE has made it our mission to assist school districts and communities eliminate these gaps.  We believe that the color of one's skin nor the amount of money he has in his pocket determines his intellectual ability. The transformation we want to see in how we teach all children begins with our work together.

As the current president and charter member of CENTEX-AABSE, I extend a special invitation to you to join us in our efforts.  Together, we can HBCU our students and their families and ignite within them their growth mindset.

  • H--heighten their self-confidence and self-worth.
  • B--break down the barriers impeding their progress.
  • C--channel their cultural awareness to a secure place of positivity.
  • U--usher their hopes and dreams toward the path of reality.

We embrace the support of all stakeholders in educating our future.  Join us in closing the gaps and preparing all students for success in a competitive society full of opportunities.

All the best,

Angenet Wilkerson
